Hailed as “one of the best young bands in America,” Filligar is the rock n’ roll quartet comprised of the three Mathias brothers—Johnny, Pete, and Teddy—and their lifelong friend Casey Gibson. Drawing comparisons to a “young Rolling Stones” and called “the next Kings of Leon,” the band gives classic rock their own unique and distinctly modern edge. The powerhouse music blog Consequence of Sound declared that, “Filligar is a breath of fresh air, in a genre that is growing stale.” Within the past year, Filligar has headlined sold out shows at some of the most acclaimed venues in the country: NYC’s Bowery Ballroom, Chicago’s Lincoln Hall, and LA’s Troubadour, among others. They have supported acts such as The Black Keys, My Morning Jacket, and Jonathan Tyler & the Northern Lights. This summer, the guys debuted in the United Kingdom to a wildly enthusiastic reception—with a live review by Clixie that likewise dubbed Filligar as “one the USA’s most exciting young bands.”
