Would you wear it? Seen and snapped at London 2012!

Happy Friday, Pretty People! Y&P is about to hop ‘cross the pond for the 2012 London Olympic Games. Stay tuned for an inside look at the people, the pageantry, the stadiums, and those whacky mascots.
I’m starting in Eton Dorney and Greenwich Park, where the equestrian and rowing competitions will play out over the first week of the Games. Check out some of the kickass Pretty People we’ll be watching in London!
Nina Ligon – Thailand – Equestrian, Eventing
20-year-old Nina is the youngest athlete competing in Eventing (a three-phase equestrian discipline that tests horse and rider in dressage, cross-country, and show jumping), and the first female representative from an Asian nation to compete in Olympic eventing. GO NINA! (Fun fact: the Queen herself will be in attendance to watch her granddaughter, Zara Phillips compete. Zara’s mum, Princess Anne, was also an Olympic equestrian. You’ll be the first to know if I catch a glimpse!)

Taylor Ritzel and Jamie Redman – USA – Women’s Rowing
Taylor and Jamie both represented Yale Women’s Crew in college, and are now representing the USA in London. Redman is the team spare, and Ritzel will be competing in the Women’s 8+. Learn more about both of them here! #BulldogsinLondon
Jamie Redman
Teammate Susan Francia, Olympic Torch, Taylor Ritzel
Tess Gerrand – Australian – Rowing
Tess, a teammate of Redman and Ritzel, will be representing Australia in the Women’s 8+. Learn more about her, and the rest of Australia’s “Motley Crew” and their winding journey to the games here!

About a month ago, we let you know about a new film project called Leftovers. As of half an hour ago, the Leftovers team has met their Kickstarter goal and is funded! Congrats to Varun Kanish (writer, co-director), Tom Wootton (co-director), and Shatara Michelle Ford (producer) – and stay tuned for more on Leftovers.
LEFTOVERS:
Told in 10 minutes and 99% dialogue free, LEFTOVERS is the tale of a man’s emotional return from the dead to redeem himself of a terrible guilt. It’s a ghost story without the trademark shocks and effects that usually define the genre. People’s stories don’t really end when they die. You can forgive but not forget and you carry your actions to the grave. Those that you have hurt carry it with them long after your death. This is what LEFTOVERS is about.

Elephant 12 is a three-piece band from across the pond in London, England. They are known for their “highly energetic performances and quirky fusion of unapologetic punk rock.” The latest music video for their song, Holiday, is pretty rowdy and elevates you into a state of party-hardy!
